About me
Hello! My name's Natasha and I'm a South African illustrator with a passion for story-driven art.I love exploring themes of horror, fantasy, and mystery through my work.A huge source of inspiration for me comes from some of my favourite games, like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Dishonoured, to name just a few. I would say my work is characterised by dramatic lighting, textured brush strokes, and intricate details. Character Illustration
Starting rates:

Additional fees may apply if the pose is complex, or for extra elements like decorative borders, horns, hands, objects, wings etc.
Creature Illustration

Description:
A character or creature depicted in an environment to tell a story. The focus is on atmosphere, emotion, lighting, and little details about the story/character.
Extras:
Additional characters/creatures are +50%

Stylised Portraits

Commercial License

Terms of Service
This page includes some terms and guidelines when working with me. Further details are highlighted in a contract signed by both parties. Please go to my Portfolio section to see examples of my work, or the Commission Rates section to see my rates.
General
• All communication is done via email. Initial contact via social media is okay, thereafter all business is conducted through my work email.
Payment
• 50% payment is required upfront and secures your commission spot.
• Larger projects may request instalments of 3 or 4.
• Full payment is expected for you to receive any final commission files.• Payments are accepted via Stub payment link or PayPal for international clients.
Final Artwork
• Final artworks will be sent via email in a WeTransfer link, which will include:• A high-res PNG file at 300dpi, with signature.
• A lower resolution, Glazed file for displaying online and on social media. (Glazing the artwork helps protect it from scrapers who intend to use the art for AI).
• Print-ready PDF or TIFF files in CMYK and RGB. (CMYK for laser-printing, and RGB for inkjet printing).• Print files are only provided to clients who purchase a license.
Refunds
• No refunds will be offered once the project is underway.• You'll receive regular updates from me every step of the way to ensure that the final result reflects your vision.
Promotional Use by the Artist
• I retain the right to display all art, including process sketches, videos, and final art, for self-promotion and portfolio uses, whether through print, online, or on social media.• Disclaimer: I will not resell a commissioned work, nor will I display any content related to the project until the client is ready to release the art.
Distribution & Reproduction Rights
• Rights are highlighted in the contract based on the agreed-upon details.• My artist signature will be on the artwork and may not be removed.• The final artwork may not be altered in any way, except for cropping and resizing for display purposes.
AI Policy
• I do not use AI at any point in my process.
• My artwork may not, under any circumstances, be used to train AI models.

Process
A step-by-step of a typical commission process from start to finish. This won't always be the same. Please go to my Terms of Service section before commissioning me.
Initial Inquiry: Sharing your vision
Before starting the creative process, the journey begins with your initial contact. Please contact me via email at [email protected] with the following details:● A short commission brief (type of project, genre, number of characters and/or creatures, type of environment, etc).
● Character/creature descriptions (physical features, personality, etc). Short excerpts are also welcome. Please only send a few pharagraphs, not full chapters.
● Moodboard/Pinterest board.
● Your Licensing needs.
Phase 1: Planning
● Finding and gathering resources for clothing, cultural and historical details.
● Creating a moodboard of my own to further explore colour, tone and overall mood.
Phase 2: Thumbnails
● Quick, thumbnail sketches to explore composition, lighting, and poses.
● This step may be done over two updates if several changes are required, or if the chosen thumbnail needs more refinement before moving on.
Phase 3: Colour Options
● Exploring colour options. Amount of options given vary depending on the commission.
Phase 4: Base Painting
● Fixing any anatomy, perspective and lighting issues that may be inconsistent. Laying the foundation for the rendering phase.
Phase 5: Rendering
● Rendering the biggest areas first, then refining.
● This step may be broken into several updates depending on the project size.
Phase 6: Final details & Effects
● Refining smaller areas.
● Adding final details to elevate the artwork.
